Jeff Wendorff's photography portfolio of Arctic Wolves from the family Canidae.

Arctic Wolf
The Arctic Wolf (Canis lupus arctos), also called Snow Wolf or White Wolf, is a subspecies of the Gray Wolf, a mammal of the family Canidae. Arctic Wolves inhabit the Canadian Arctic, Alaska and the northern parts of Greenland. They have white fur and long canine teeth for killing their prey.

There is no specific collective noun (that I can find) for Arctic Wolves and this seems to be an oversight. I think that a drift is perfect for their lifestyle and habitat.

Arctic Wolves are among the many wildlife species that we photograph on my wildlife photography workshops. You can learn more about my workshops online at www.wildlifeworkshops.com.
