On my recent trip to Panama, I photographed over 100 bird species. I hop you enjoy this collection.

Panama has a bird species list of more than 1000 and Gamboa's famed Pipeline Rd offers more than 400 of them! The bird diversity is incredible, and the easy (45 min from Panama City) travel makes it a no brainer for people that love birds.

During my trip, I used the wonderful Canopy Family to guide me to all of the best sites. Of course, we went to Pipeline Rd as well as Old Gamboa Road, Summit Ponds, Gamboa Resort, Ammo Dump Ponds, Gatun Lake, Chagras River, Monkey Island, Anton Valley, Metropolitan Park and more.

Over the course of my 10-day trip, I photographed nearly 100 species of birds. There were plenty of things to photograph including butterflies, dragonflies, monkeys, sloths, reptiles and flowers. It was a very well rounded photography trip.
